Part 3 - The Outreach

Many Yes, One God + Ecuador Outreach Short Film 🎥

Dear Reader

We are splitting this update into three emails, so look out for the next emails later this week.

As we look back over the past few months, one thing keeps coming to mind: God often works through the willingness of many people to say yes to Him.

Sometimes a yes means travelling to another country. Sometimes it means giving financially, praying faithfully, opening your home, sharing a skill, or making yourself available to serve. Each yes may look different, but when we offer what we have to God, He can bring those yes together in ways we could never accomplish alone.

We have seen this so clearly in Ecuador, in our return to Cornwall, and in the opportunities God is opening to invest in the next generation. We would love to share a few highlights with you, along with some important prayer requests.

🇪🇨 Ecuador: The Power of Many Yes

This summer, 33 of us travelled to Ecuador to serve alongside our local partners, supporting the work of Tres Clavos y un Madero in the Amazon region, including the Shuar community of Chiquichikentza.

But the team was much bigger than the people who travelled. More than 60 people helped financially support the outreach, while many others prayed, prepared teachings and activities, organised practical details, opened their homes, provided transport, and helped make the trip possible.

When we look at everything that came together, we are reminded that almost 100 people said yes in different ways. Every contribution mattered.

During our time there, we helped complete a new dining area for the children and families served by the local foundation. It was wonderful to see this practical project come together and to know it will continue to serve the community beyond our visit.

We also saw God at work in unexpected ways. One hotel owner we met came to know Jesus, reminding us that even the conversations and encounters along the way can become significant moments.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, prepared, served, and encouraged us. You were part of this outreach, and we are deeply grateful.

A special thank-you to our Ecuador partners ❤️

We are especially thankful for those who gave specifically to make it possible for us to return to Ecuador each year.

Your generosity helps us continue building relationships with the community, supporting our local partners, and being part of what God is doing in the lives of children and families in the Amazon.

Thank you for believing in this work and for making these trips possible. You may not always be there in person, but you are an important part of what happens when we go. We are so grateful to have you alongside us on this journey.

We hope you enjoy these three videos from our time in the Ecuadorian jungle. They give a glimpse of the people, places, and experiences that made this outreach so special.

Please Pray for Josué

One situation from Ecuador has stayed particularly close to our hearts.

Josué is a nine-year-old Shuar boy who suffered burns over approximately 30% of his body. He and his mother were taken to a children’s hospital in the city so that he could receive medical care.

His mother does not speak Spanish, which makes an already frightening situation even more difficult. Our local partners are helping the family as they navigate the medical care and practical challenges ahead.

When we shared Josué’s story and invited people to help, so many of you responded with generosity and compassion. We are incredibly grateful to share that we have now raised all the money needed for the fundraising goal! Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the appeal, and prayed for Josué and his mum. Your kindness has made a real difference, and we are so thankful for every person who played a part.

Now, we continue to pray for Josué’s recovery and for his mother as she walks through this difficult time.

Would you please continue to pray with us?

  • Pray for healing, strength, and the best possible medical care for Josué.
  • Pray for wisdom for the doctors and everyone involved in his treatment.
  • Pray for peace, comfort, and strength for his mother as she stays alongside him.
  • Pray that the family will continue to receive the practical and emotional support they need.

Thank you for standing with this family in prayer and compassion. We are reminded again of what can happen when people come together to help someone in need. ❤️

Help Josué receive the care he needs

Thank you for standing with this family in prayer and compassion.
