Spring Retreat

When we moved to Cornwall and lived at the YWAM house (Hillview) it was often noted how peaceful Hillview was. Many people would come and stay and find a place of rest, sanctuary and refreshment. These words have been important to us over the years since we began YWAM Immerse Cornwall. We have hosted many guests, from outreach teams to missionaries looking for a break to short term missionaries with all of them finding it a place of rest no matter their reason for staying.
This year our team has felt led to begin a retreat to give a dedicated space for those in ministry to come and be refreshed. There will be guided devotionals, times of practicing creativity and space for those who would like time to share and process things with our member care team.
We’re looking forward to how God wants to use this in the lives of those who will come as we have seen so much the need to be able to step away with God in the busyness of life. This is something we personally are trying to practice in the midst of our lives of leading the YWAM team and working on various ministry activities.
I often reflect and am reminded of how Jesus would draw away to be with the father.
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Sometimes it needs to be in the early hours of the day or taking a few days dedicated to focusing on him.
If you would like to join our retreat there’s still time to sign up. It’s from 4th – 8th March. More details can be found at ywamimmersecornwall.com/springretreat
